Welcome to The Bield for the 150th Open Golf Championship 2022. The word “Bield” is an old Scots word which is no longer in common use. It means – a place of safety, peace, and security which aptly describes this modern home and its surroundings. The property is available for up to 10 nights – minimum 7nights. This immaculately presented accommodation for The Open comprises 4 double bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms (the master bedroom also boasts a large jacuzzi bath). The tiny hamlet of Charlottetown is 35 miles from Edinburgh International Airport and an easy 14-mile drive from St. Andrews. It is less than an hour from other popular and well-known golf courses like Gleneagles and Carnoustie. The local Golf Course which has hosted many events in the past is only one mile away. All of the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate additional beds by arrangement if you require to sleep more than 8 people.
The downstairs lounge and dining room have bi-folding glass doors allowing the rooms to be opened to the outside where there is a barbeque built into the wall of the house. There are patios including a checker board, a large deck area and Astroturf lawn with a 14 foot in-ground trampoline to complete this south facing rear garden.
All windows are triple glazed and high-level motorised windows help provide comfort on warmer days.
There is ample parking on the paved front drive for at least 6 cars.
Standard package includes a welcome pack of essentials to ensure your comfort on arrival. All of the bedrooms are provided with an ample supply of linen, towels, soap, and shampoo for your stay. The property is offered at £23,000 for a 7–10-night stay. Your reservation can be secured with a non-refundable booking deposit of 30%. There is also a 10% refundable damages deposit required before you arrive, and the full payment must be received by June 1st, 2022.
We are pleased to offer additional extra services by prior arrangement if required. These services can include airport transfers, venue transportation, daily housekeeping, and catering. It is also possible to extend your stay.
