Charming Victorian Cottage Accommodation for The Open 2022 in Kingskettle village. Kingskettle is only 15 miles from the Open in St Andrews. There are 50 golf courses within 30 minutes of Kingskettle, including Ladybank (1.5 miles away), Elie, Crail, Lundin Links, Kingsbarns, Gleneagles, Dumbarnie and the St Andrews links courses. It is on a bus route through to St Andrews, as well as only 1.1 mile from the Ladybank train station which is on the mainline from Edinburgh to Dundee/Aberdeen/Inverness and to Leuchars (for St Andrews).
The house is deceptively small from the road front, and surprisingly spacious inside (having been extended to two stories at the rear). The house has 4 bedrooms (2 with King beds, 1 double and 1 large single) and 2 bathrooms (one upstairs with large walk-in shower and one downstairs with bath/shower). There is a warm and comfortable living room with a wood-burning stove, a separate dining room with glass doors that open onto the large enclosed back garden, and an airy kitchen with utility room off it. There is a Zanussi double-oven with induction hob, full-size fridge and dishwasher, Washing machine and dryer. Internet is available, and access to Netflix, Prime TV etc. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished throughout to a high standard.
There are multiple patios, garden seating, BBQ, and fire pit for use (ensuring the most can be made of the Scottish sunshine at any time during the day and summer evenings) and well-kept lawns and gardens. There is ample parking for cars. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet only 10-15 minutes’ walk (in any direction) to the nearest pub, restaurant, cafe and farm shop. The market town of Cupar is just 5 miles away, where there is an array of supermarkets, shops and more eateries.
The price is £7,000 for a (minimum) 7-night stay, up to £13,000 for two weeks. Any length break between 7-14 nights would be worked out pro-rata. A 20% non-refundable booking deposit will secure your stay. A 10% damage deposit is required upon arrival and will be returned upon departure. Full payment is due by 1st June 2022.
