On the shores of Belfast Lough Holywood is the home of Rory McIlroy and is just over an hour (70 minutes) from the 2025 Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
Belfast City Airport 3 minutes away, Belfast International Airport 21 minutes away.

I can arrange information for you re best car rental places or Train tickets to and from Portrush (Holywood has a train station with a an hourly train service to and from Portrush , Portrush train station is twelve minutes walk to the course)
Why stay at our home ? 4000 square foot Georgian house , "Sonnet" was built in 1865 and has been an oldschoolhouse in its time , property has been totally refurbished and contains 5 double bedrooms all of generous proportions, two shower rooms (one with roll top bath), huge kitchen, conservatory area with French doors leading to walled garden, extensive mature front garden, car charging point, Lounge, living room with doors leading to garden and separate salon with double bedroom, shower, toiletry facilities and lounge area.
All designed and furnished by a local interior designer.
Belfast is 5 minutes away by train, taxi, Uber or Bus and has many fine restaurants bars and concert venues.
Holywood itself has many restaurants and Bars including Alexanders, The Dirty Duck, Neds, The Coast, The Joxer, Noble, Little Wing, The Cultra Inn.
In terms of Golf courses there are many of our doorstep - Holywood Rory's home course where you will be able to play , on the shores of Belfast Lough we have Royal Belfast. Carnalea, Bangor and Blackwood too.
If you are coming over with family or partners who are not going to the Open I can arrange for information to local attractions such as The Dark Hedges, Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge, The Gobbins Coastal Path, Belfast Walking tours, Bushmills Distillery, The Titanic Museum, Irish dancing etc etc if you need tickets for these I can send you all the websites to make the trip go smoothly.

We will remove clothing and personal effects allowing you plenty of room for your things, parking is right outside the house with room for up to 8 vehicles in the private driveway.
