This 2300 square foot, 4-bedroom house sits on 5 very private wooded acres situated in a small 18 lot cul-de-sac subdivision surrounded by farmland. US Open Accommodation located only 4.5 Miles from Oakmont CC (3 Stop Signs and 1 traffic light). This house sits 150 feet off the street essentially behind adjacent houses at the street such that the acreage beyond and behind the house are screened by trees and undergrowth such that back yard can't be seen by any neighbors. This is a smoke free, pet free home.



Transportation to US Open

The property resides a short distance from Plum Senior High School property which is traditionally used as remote US Open Parking lot and Shuttle Service. As such it would be a short drive to "Park and Ride " or a short 1000 foot walk.


Second Floor

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, the second bedroom has a Full size bed and the third bed room has a Twin size bed. The 4th bedroom is currently an office but a bed can be added if desired. The 2nd floor has 2 full baths including a shower in the master bath and a tub in the main bath. There is a powder room on the 1st floor. The house is air conditioned with paddle fans in all the bedrooms however if you like a COLD room for sleeping, the Master Bedroom has a thru-wall AC unit.


First Floor

The Large living room with 10 foot high cove ceilings, fire place, couch, love seat and recliner has 6 foot windows and double french doors that open onto a large deck. The deck features a retractable awning, two dining tables and a great view. The first floor has an oak cabinet kitchen with double oven. The formal Dining room is accessible from the Living Room and Kitchen and seats 8. Off the kitchen, through a pair of pocket doors is an informal dining table for 6 and a built-in Computer desk. The informal dining table overlooks a sunken TV room with large sectional with motorized recliners and a 55" TV. The 1st floor powder room is off the informal dining adjacent to the laundry room. Note that as the informal dining area, sunken TV area and powder room can be closed off from the kitchen and the rest of the house via the double pocket doors, this could be converted to a second Suite by replacing the table with a Queen bed if requested.


Outdoor Features

The house is surround by 5 acres of park like woods and landscaping with 200' wide side yards and depth behind house which varies from 300' to 500'. Yard features include an in-ground pool, Large deck accessible from Living Room, Lighted Grass Court (Volleyball), a Small 20'X 40' Koi pond with camp fire area and a 150' Zip line hidden beyond. There are also Swings and a play house close to the deck. Due to distance, terrain, Solid fence and vegetation, none of these outdoor features are observable from adjacent properties.


In-Ground Pool

The figure-eight shaped 9' X 23' in-ground pool resides on the side yard which is accessible from the backyard via a lockable gate and directly from the Master Bedroom which features a deck. The deep end is 5' deep and the shallow end is 3' deep and features a half circle bench seat for 6 and Jacuzzi type jets. The pool area includes a Mini Fridge/Freezer and a deck box with water toys. The pool also has an 8 foot long water slide which can be removed easily if preferred.

Koi Pond and camp fire area.

Beyond Sport Court, concealed behind mounds and large rhododendron screen is a small shallow 20' X 40' spring fed Koi/Turtle/Frog pond. Adjacent to the pond is a grass area which is typically used for campfire gatherings or outdoor movie nights. For evening gatherings, low level lighting controlled by a switch features Hurricane lanterns that flicker to simulate flame.


Zip-Line

Adjacent to the pond and campfire area is a 150' zip-line. As the zip-line follows the curve of the shallow ravine, the rider is safely never greater than 2 feet above the ground.


Walking Trails and Arboretum

The grounds include a half mile of mowed paths meandering through the 5 acre Arboretum which include several large Dawn Redwoods and a collection of over 400 Oak trees representing over 100 different species, some of which are rare grafted varieties of Oaks from all over the world.
